What exactly is a solid moisturiser bar?

A moisturiser bar is a solid bar of natural moisturising oils and butters, which hydrate and rejuvenate the skin, just like a liquid moisturiser but without the container.

What are the ingredients?

The base ingredients for all bars are coconut oil, sweet almond oil and natural vitamin E. For ingredients specific to each product, please look at the information under each product in our store.

How do I know my product is sustainable?

All products are accredited as 100% vegan, cruelty free, plastic free and palm oil free, and the products are produced by our supplier in a renewable workshop.

Can I recycle the delivery packaging?

Yes. The envelope, packaging and contents are completely recyclable and plastic free.

 
 

Storage & Use FAQs

How do I use it?

Warm the bar in your hands and then gently massage the bar into skin – we also have a handy step-by-step guide on our product information page! It is for external use only, not to be used around the eyes, mucous membranes or on broken skin. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.

Can I use it on my child?

All products have been assessed and certified as safe for general use via the Cosmetic Products Safety Report by a qualified chemist. However, it is recommended that you do not use this product for children aged 3 years and under.

Can I use it if I have sensitive skin?

Yes, the bars can be used on sensitive skin as they contain no harsh chemicals or fragrance.

Can I use it on my face?

Yes, they are safe to use on the face, but it should not be used on or around the eyes. You may find that they are quite rich on the face for the daytime but are ideal for use overnight!

Can I use it in the shower?

This product is intended for use after showering to moisturise the skin - it should not be used or stored in the shower as this may affect the condition of the bar.

How do I store it?

Store in a cool, dark, dry place. Avoid extreme temperatures. Exposure to sunlight and heat will affect the life of this product.

How long does it last for?

This will vary depending on how often you use the product and how much you use at a time - on average the bars will last 4-5 months, ensuring they are stored correctly. The period-after-opening (PAO) is 6 months.

Delivery FAQs

How much does delivery cost?

We charge a 50 pence delivery fee for each order.

When will my delivery arrive?

Our aim is to get your purchase dispatched within 3 working days of your order, and then there is a 2-3 day delivery time on top of this. We expect most customers to receive their order within 5 working days, but please allow up to 10 days from the dispatch date before contacting us.

My order has not arrived. What should I do?

If it has been 10 days since your order's dispatch date, or it has been 5 days since you placed your order and you have not received a dispatch notification, please contact info@earthseaskin.co.uk with your order number and your issue and we’ll endeavour to solve the problem!

Do you deliver to countries outside the UK?

No, unfortunately we only ship to addresses within the UK.

My order arrived damaged. What should I do?

If you could take some photo evidence, and email them to info@earthseaskin.co.uk along with your order number and a description of the damage, we can begin the process of either a refund or sending out a replacement product.

Can I cancel my order?

If you change your mind about a product you’ve ordered, you are free to cancel your order at any point prior to an order being dispatched. After dispatch, we cannot cancel your order as it will have been sent for delivery.

Can I track my order?

To minimise costs, we utilise a service which doesn’t include tracking. Feel free to contact us at info@earthseaskin.co.uk and we can provide a rough ETA on when your order should arrive.

How long do I have to return my order?

You have 14 days from the date you received your order to return it back to us.

Can I exchange a product?

Unfortunately, we cannot offer exchanges for products.

 

Other FAQs

Is there a risk of COVID-19 contamination?

All risk of COVID-19 transmission will be minimised through washing and sanitising hands throughout packaging and dispatching the products along with regular lateral flow tests for the team.

What should I do if the product has irritated my skin?

Allergic reactions, whilst extremely rare, can happen. If you have a reaction to one of our products, please consult your pharmacist or medical practitioner, and inform us that you had a reaction. We will pass this information onto our manufacturer who will keep a record.
